Hyperficient

Thesis

I’ve been lifting weights since I was 15.

I wanted to create my own program, so I looked into how to make one. I found that there is a lot of conflicting fitness advice, even though science tells us the most ‘optimal’ way to train:

      • Fitness influencers look good because they have amazing genetics, (a lot) use steroids, and train very consistently. They don’t need to work out efficiently
      • Fitness Apps are designed to make you train consistently, not efficiently
      • Mass media sites like Men’s Health are reductionistic

The entire fitness industry is also moving toward science-backed methodologies — it’s becoming popular.

So, Hyperficient was born. I used AI to analyse hypertrophy research, generate personalised, science-backed programs and educate people how to build muscle efficiently

Results

I went from idea to revenue in 3 weeks, and grew to $2.5k MRR in a few months.

I decided to discontinue  because I wasn’t passionate enough about the problem space, and didn’t see a big enough opportunity. This was a nice attempt (much better than Oxshag), but not what I want to spend 5-10 years on.

Biggest learning: Interrogate my ideas more before I start building
